The Light of Knowledge

In Hindu culture, the 'Guru' or teacher is the most respected person. There is a famous saying: 'If both God and my Guru stand before me, I will first touch the feet of my Guru. Because it was my Guru who showed me the way to God!'

हिंदू संस्कृति में, 'गुरु' या शिक्षक सबसे सम्मानित व्यक्ति होते हैं। एक प्रसिद्ध कहावत है: 'गुरु गोविंद दोऊ खड़े, काके लागू पाय। बलिहारी गुरु आपने, गोविंद दियो बताय।' इसका अर्थ है कि यदि भगवान और मेरे गुरु दोनों मेरे सामने खड़े हों, तो मैं पहले अपने गुरु के चरण स्पर्श करूँगा। क्योंकि मेरे गुरु ने ही मुझे भगवान तक पहुँचने का रास्ता दिखाया है!

Guru Purnima is celebrated on the full moon day of the month of Ashadha. It is also the birthday of **Sage Vyasa**, who was the greatest teacher of ancient India. He was the one who wrote the Vedas, the Puranas, and the great epic Mahabharata!

गुरु पूर्णिमा आषाढ़ मास की पूर्णिमा के दिन मनाई जाती है। यह **महर्षि व्यास** का जन्मदिन भी है, जो प्राचीन भारत के सबसे महान शिक्षक थे। उन्होंने ही वेदों, पुराणों और महान महाकाव्य महाभारत की रचना की थी!

Think of your mind like a dark room. You don't know where the door is or what is inside. A Guru is like someone who walks in and lights a candle. Suddenly, you can see everything! You can learn how to read, how to be kind, and how to solve problems.

अपने दिमाग को एक अंधेरे कमरे की तरह सोचें। आपको नहीं पता कि दरवाजा कहां है या अंदर क्या है। गुरु उस व्यक्ति की तरह है जो अंदर आता है और मोमबत्ती जलाता है। अचानक, आप सब कुछ देख सकते हैं! आप सीख सकते हैं कि कैसे पढ़ना है, कैसे दयालु होना है और समस्याओं को कैसे हल करना है।

On Guru Purnima, we visit our teachers, give them flowers, and thank them for helping us grow. It reminds us that knowledge is the greatest treasure in the world, and we should always respect those who give it to us.

गुरु पूर्णिमा पर, हम अपने शिक्षकों के पास जाते हैं, उन्हें फूल देते हैं, और हमें बढ़ने में मदद करने के लिए उन्हें धन्यवाद देते हैं। यह हमें याद दिलाता है कि ज्ञान दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा खजाना है, और हमें हमेशा उनका सम्मान करना चाहिए जो हमें यह देते हैं।
