The Ultimate Rescue Mission

During the great battle of Lanka, a dark shadow fell over Lord Rama's camp. Indrajit, the fierce warrior son of Ravana, had struck prince Lakshmana with a deadly magical weapon. Lakshmana collapsed to the earth, unconscious, his breath growing fainter by the minute.

लंका के भीषण युद्ध के दौरान, भगवान राम की सेना पर गहरा संकट आ पड़ा। रावण के पुत्र मेघनाद ने एक घातक शक्ति से लक्ष्मण पर प्रहार कर दिया। लक्ष्मण अचेत होकर धरती पर गिर पड़े और उनकी सांसें धीमी होने लगीं।

Lord Rama knelt beside his beloved brother with tears streaming down his face. The wise royal physician, Sushena, examined Lakshmana and said gravely, 'There is only one hope. Far away in the Himalayas lies the Dronagiri mountain, where the glowing herb Sanjeevani blooms. If brought before the break of dawn, Lakshmana will live.'

भगवान राम अपने प्यारे भाई के पास रोते हुए बैठ गए। लंका के ज्ञानी वैद्य सुषेण ने लक्ष्मण की नाड़ी देखी और कहा, 'केवल एक ही उपाय है। हिमालय के द्रोणागिरि पर्वत पर एक चमत्कारी बूटी संजीवनी उगती है। यदि सूर्योदय से पहले वह बूटी आ जाए, तो लक्ष्मण के प्राण बच सकते हैं।'

Without losing a second, Hanuman expanded his form, bowed to Lord Rama, and leaped into the night sky like a blazing arrow, crossing hundreds of miles across rivers and forests.

बिना एक पल गंवाए, हनुमानजी ने अपना विशाल रूप धारण किया, प्रभु राम को प्रणाम किया और रात के आकाश में एक जलते तीर की तरह उड़ चले—हजारों मील की दूरी पलक झपकते ही पार कर ली।

Reaching the snow-capped peak of Dronagiri, Hanuman looked across the slopes. In the silver moonlight, hundreds of magical herbs were shimmering with golden, blue, and violet light! Hanuman was not a botanist, and precious minutes were slipping away as the stars began to fade.

द्रोणागिरि की बर्फीली चोटी पर पहुंचकर हनुमानजी ने चारों ओर देखा। चांदनी रात में वहां सैकड़ों दिव्य औषधियां सुनहरी, नीली और बैंगनी रोशनी में चमक रही थीं! हनुमानजी कोई वैद्य नहीं थे, और समय तेजी से बीत रहा था।

'If I pick the wrong leaf, my brother Lakshmana could be lost,' Hanuman resolved. 'I will take no chances with his life!'

'यदि मैंने गलत पत्ता चुन लिया, तो मेरे भ्राता लक्ष्मण के प्राण संकट में पड़ जाएंगे,' हनुमानजी ने सोचा। 'मैं उनके जीवन के साथ कोई जोखिम नहीं ले सकता!'

With a mighty cry of 'Jai Shri Ram!', Hanuman placed his colossal palms beneath the mountain peak, lifted the entire Himalayan mountain atop his hand, and flew back across the sky carrying an ocean of green life.

'जय श्री राम!' के जयघोष के साथ, हनुमानजी ने अपनी विशाल हथेलियां पर्वत के नीचे लगाईं, पूरे द्रोणागिरि पर्वत को अपनी हथेली पर उठा लिया और आकाश मार्ग से उड़ते हुए वापस लौट आए।

Hanuman landed before dawn. Sushena quickly crushed the Sanjeevani leaves, and within moments, Lakshmana opened his eyes, breathing deeply. Lord Rama embraced Hanuman with tears of joy, declaring that he would forever cherish Hanuman as his own brother.

सूर्योदय से पहले हनुमानजी लंका पहुंचे। वैद्य सुषेण ने तुरंत संजीवनी की पत्तियां पीसकर लक्ष्मण को पिलाईं, और लक्ष्मणजी ने मुस्कुराते हुए अपनी आंखें खोल दीं। भगवान राम ने खुशी के आंसुओं के साथ हनुमान को गले लगा लिया और कहा कि वे उन्हें सदा अपने भाई की तरह प्रिय रहेंगे।
