The Hero Who Never Left Us

After the great victory in Lanka, Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya and ruled with perfect justice, compassion, and peace for many glorious years. The kingdom flourished, and every living creature lived in harmony.

लंका पर विजय प्राप्त करने के बाद, भगवान राम अयोध्या लौटे और कई वर्षों तक न्याय, करुणा और शांति के साथ शासन किया। चारों ओर खुशहाली थी और हर प्राणी सुख से रहता था।

Eventually, the divine time arrived for Lord Rama to conclude his earthly journey and return to his eternal heavenly abode of Vaikuntha. All his faithful companions and citizens gathered on the banks of the sacred Sarayu river to accompany him.

समय बीतने के साथ वह पावन घड़ी आ गई जब भगवान राम को अपनी लौकिक लीला समाप्त कर अपने परम धाम वैकुंठ लौटना था। उनके सभी साथी और प्रजाजन सरयू नदी के तट पर उनके साथ चलने के लिए एकत्र हुए।

Lord Rama turned to his most beloved devotee, Hanuman, whose eyes were filled with silent tears. 'Hanuman, my true brother and companion, ask for any boon you desire. Come with me to Vaikuntha, where peace and joy are eternal.'

भगवान राम अपने सबसे प्यारे भक्त हनुमान की ओर मुड़े, जिनकी आँखों में मौन आंसू भरे थे। 'हनुमान, मेरे सच्चे सखा, जो वरदान चाहो मांग लो। मेरे साथ वैकुंठ चलो, जहाँ परम शांति और आनंद है।'

Hanuman folded his hands and bowed low, his voice trembling with pure devotion. 'My Lord, if I go to heaven, will I hear your sacred name sung there? If not, heaven holds no joy for me. Wherever your name, your stories, and your glory are remembered on this earth, that is where I wish to remain.'

हनुमानजी ने हाथ जोड़े और बड़ी विनम्रता से कहा, 'प्रभु, यदि मैं वैकुंठ जाऊं, तो क्या वहां मुझे आपकी रामकथा सुनने को मिलेगी? यदि नहीं, तो मुझे स्वर्ग का कोई सुख नहीं चाहिए। इस धरती पर जहां भी आपका नाम, आपकी गाथा और आपका गुणगान होगा, मैं वहीं रहना चाहता हूँ।'

Lord Rama's heart overflowed with love. He placed his warm hand on Hanuman's head and blessed him: 'You shall be a Chiranjivi—an immortal soul. As long as the sun and moon shine upon the earth, you will live to protect devotees and hear the sweet song of Rama.'

भगवान राम का हृदय प्रेम से भर गया। उन्होंने हनुमानजी के सिर पर अपना हाथ रखा और आशीर्वाद दिया: 'तुम चिरंजीवी रहोगे। जब तक धरती पर सूरज और चांद रहेंगे, तुम जीवित रहकर भक्तों की रक्षा करोगे और रामकथा का आनंद लोगे।'

To this day, tradition says that wherever people gather with pure hearts to sing the praises of Lord Rama, a quiet devotee with folded hands and joyful tears sits silently in the corner—Lord Hanuman, watching with eternal love.

कहा जाता है कि आज भी जहां कहीं भी सच्चे मन से रामकथा होती है, वहां कोने में हाथ जोड़े और आंखों में खुशी के आंसू लिए एक शांत भक्त अवश्य उपस्थित रहता है—वे स्वयं संकटमोचन हनुमान हैं।
