The Giant Red Mango in the Sky
“Have you ever been so hungry that you tried to eat the Sun? 🌞🐒”
Long ago in the lush green forests of Kishkindha, little baby Hanuman woke up from a long morning nap. His mother, Anjana, had stepped out to gather wild fruits, and little Hanuman's tummy was rumbling with hunger.
बहुत समय पहले किष्किंधा के हरे-भरे वनों में, नन्हे बाल हनुमान अपनी सुबह की नींद से जागे। उनकी माता अंजना फल इकट्ठा करने बाहर गई थीं, और छोटे हनुमान के पेट में भूख से चूहे कूद रहे थे।
Rubbing his sleepy eyes, the divine little monkey walked out of the cave. High above the horizon, he saw a glowing, perfectly round, fiery red orb rising into the morning sky. To the innocent child, it looked like the most delicious, ripe golden mango he had ever seen!
अपनी नींद भरी आँखें मलते हुए, वे गुफा से बाहर आए। क्षितिज के ऊपर उन्होंने एक चमकता हुआ, गोल और लाल-नारंगी गोला आसमान में उठते देखा। उस अबोध बालक को लगा कि यह दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा, रसीला और पका हुआ मीठा आम है!
'Mmmm, breakfast!' little Hanuman thought with a joyful giggle. Bending his knees, he took a tremendous leap into the sky, soaring past treetops, mountain peaks, and fluffy white clouds.
'वाह, मेरा नाश्ता!' छोटे हनुमान ने खुश होकर सोचा। उन्होंने अपने घुटने मोड़े और आसमान में एक विशाल छलांग लगाई—पेड़ों, पहाड़ों और सफेद बादलों को पीछे छोड़ते हुए वे ऊपर उड़ने लगे।
As the flying child approached the blazing sun, Indra, the king of the gods, grew alarmed, thinking an invincible creature had come to swallow the celestial light. Rushing forward on his white elephant, Indra hurled his thunderbolt, striking the little boy on the jaw.
जैसे ही वह नन्हा बालक सूरज के करीब पहुंचा, देवराज इंद्र घबरा गए कि कोई चमत्कारी जीव सूर्य को निगलने आ रहा है। अपने ऐरावत हाथी पर सवार होकर इंद्र ने अपना वज्र चलाया, जो सीधे नन्हे बालक की ठुड्डी (हनु) पर लगा।
The child fell back to the earth unconscious. Seeing his beloved son hurt, Lord Vayu, the God of Wind, gathered the boy in his arms and withdrew all air from the universe in grief. Without air, the entire cosmos gasped for breath.
बालक अचेत होकर धरती पर गिर पड़ा। अपने प्यारे पुत्र को आहत देखकर पवन देव अत्यंत दुखी हुए। उन्होंने बालक को अपनी गोद में उठाया और संसार से सारी वायु रोक ली। वायु के बिना पूरी सृष्टि में हाहाकार मच गया।
All the gods hurried to appease Lord Vayu. Lord Brahma gently healed the boy, while Indra gave him the name Hanuman, meaning the one with the prominent jaw. Each deity bestowed a magnificent blessing: immunity to fire, water, and weapons, boundless strength, and fearlessness.
सभी देवता पवन देव को मनाने दौड़े। ब्रह्माजी ने बालक को स्पर्श कर स्वस्थ कर दिया, जबकि इंद्र ने उन्हें हनुमान नाम दिया। सभी देवताओं ने उन्हें दिव्य वरदान दिए: अग्नि, जल और शस्त्रों से अभयता, असीम बल और अमरता का आशीर्वाद।
Little Hanuman blinked open his sparkling eyes and smiled playfully. Though he didn't get his giant mango, his heart was blessed with divine courage to protect the righteous forever.
छोटे हनुमान ने अपनी चमकीली आँखें खोलीं और नटखटपन से मुस्कुराए। भले ही उन्हें वह विशाल आम नहीं मिला, लेकिन उनका हृदय संसार की रक्षा के लिए दिव्य साहस और शक्ति से भर गया।
