The Giant Red Mango in the Sky
“Have you ever been so hungry that you tried to eat the Sun? 🌞🐒”
When Hanuman was a little baby monkey, he was very naughty and always hungry! One morning, he woke up feeling extremely hungry. His mother, Anjana, had gone to the forest to get some fruits.
जब हनुमान एक छोटे बच्चे बंदर थे, तो वे बहुत शरारती थे और हमेशा भूखे रहते थे! एक सुबह, वे बहुत भूखे उठे। उनकी माँ, अंजना, कुछ फल लेने जंगल गई थीं।
Baby Hanuman looked up at the sky and saw the morning Sun rising. It looked round, red, and glowing. 'Wow! What a giant, juicy red mango!' he thought, licking his lips.
बाल हनुमान ने आसमान की ओर देखा और सुबह के सूरज को उगते देखा। यह गोल, लाल और चमकता हुआ दिख रहा था। 'वाह! कितना विशाल, रसीला लाल आम है!' उसने अपने होंठ चाटते हुए सोचा।
Since he was the son of Vayu (the Wind God), he had the power to fly. He took a giant leap and flew right up into space! He zoomed past the clouds, reaching closer and closer to the hot Sun.
चूँकि वे वायु (पवन देव) के पुत्र थे, इसलिए उनके पास उड़ने की शक्ति थी। उन्होंने एक विशाल छलांग लगाई और सीधे अंतरिक्ष में उड़ गए! वे बादलों को पार करते हुए, गर्म सूर्य के और करीब पहुँच गए।
The Sun God was shocked to see a tiny monkey flying towards him! The King of Gods, Lord Indra, saw this and got worried. To stop the baby, Indra threw his powerful weapon, the Vajra (thunderbolt), at Hanuman.
सूर्य देव एक छोटे से बंदर को अपनी ओर उड़ता देख हैरान रह गए! देवताओं के राजा, भगवान इंद्र ने यह देखा और चिंतित हो गए। बच्चे को रोकने के लिए, इंद्र ने अपना शक्तिशाली हथियार, वज्र, हनुमान पर फेंका।
The thunderbolt hit baby Hanuman on the chin (Hanu), and he fell back to Earth, unconscious. When his father, the Wind God, saw this, he got very angry and stopped all the air in the world! Everyone started suffocating.
वज्र बाल हनुमान की ठुड्डी (हनु) पर लगा, और वे बेहोश होकर वापस पृथ्वी पर गिर पड़े। जब उनके पिता, पवन देव ने यह देखा, तो वे बहुत क्रोधित हुए और उन्होंने दुनिया की सारी हवा रोक दी! सभी का दम घुटने लगा।
To fix the mistake, all the Gods rushed down to Earth. They healed the baby and gave him amazing blessings. They made him faster than light, stronger than any weapon, and incredibly wise. And because his chin ('Hanu') was swollen, he was forever named 'Hanuman'!
गलती सुधारने के लिए, सभी देवता पृथ्वी पर आ गए। उन्होंने बच्चे को ठीक किया और उसे अद्भुत वरदान दिए। उन्होंने उसे प्रकाश से भी तेज, किसी भी हथियार से ज्यादा मजबूत, और अविश्वसनीय रूप से बुद्धिमान बना दिया। और चूँकि उनकी ठुड्डी ('हनु') सूज गई थी, इसलिए उनका नाम हमेशा के लिए 'हनुमान' पड़ गया!
