The Bridge of Floating Stones

The Vanara army stood along the sunlit shores of Rameshwaram, looking out across the vast ocean that separated them from the golden island of Lanka. The roaring waves crashed against the rocks, and the waters were deep and stormy.

रामेश्वरम के सुनहरे तट पर वानर सेना खड़ी थी और उस विशाल महासागर को देख रही थी जो उन्हें लंका की धरती से अलग करता था। तूफानी लहरें चट्टानों से टकराकर गरज रही थीं और पानी बहुत गहरा था।

To reach Lanka and rescue Mother Sita, Lord Rama needed to lead hundreds of thousands of warriors across the sea. Two skilled monkey brothers, Nala and Nila, blessed by divine architecture, stepped forward: 'Lord, if we build a bridge of stones and write your sacred name upon each rock, the ocean will hold them afloat!'

माता सीता को छुड़ाने के लिए भगवान राम को लाखों सैनिकों को उस पार ले जाना था। दिव्य शिल्प से संपन्न दो वानर भाई, नल और नील, आगे आए: 'प्रभु, यदि हम पत्थरों से एक सेतु बनाएं और हर चट्टान पर आपका पावन नाम लिख दें, तो यह सागर उन्हें डूबने नहीं देगा!'

A tremendous cheer rose from the shore! Mighty warriors leaped into the surrounding hills, carving out gigantic boulders, hillsides, and ancient trees. Vanara warriors inscribed the holy syllables 'RA-MA' upon the stone surfaces and gently rolled them into the foaming sea.

तट पर जय-जयकार गूंज उठी! महाबली वानर आसपास की पहाड़ियों पर कूद पड़े, भारी चट्टानों और पेड़ों को उखाड़ लाए। वानरों ने हर पत्थर पर 'रा-म' का पावन नाम लिखा और उन्हें समुद्र में डाल दिया।

Miraculously, the heavy stones did not sink! They floated like buoyant corks upon the water, interlocking with each other to form a solid, broad stone causeway.

चमत्कार हुआ—वे भारी पत्थर डूबे नहीं! वे पानी के ऊपर तैरने लगे और एक-दूसरे से जुड़कर एक मजबूत, चौड़ा पत्थर का सेतु बन गए।

Day after day, the army worked tirelessly. Giant bears carried boulders, strong monkeys aligned the stones, and even a tiny squirrel rolled in the sand to fill the cracks between the rocks with pure devotion.

सेना ने कई दिनों तक लगातार मेहनत की। बड़े भालू चट्टानें लाए, वानरों ने उन्हें सलीके से जमाया, और एक नन्हीं गिलहरी ने भी पत्थरों की दरारों में रेत भरकर अपना प्रेम अर्पित किया।

In just five days, a magnificent one-hundred-league floating bridge—the Ram Setu—stretched across the sparkling blue ocean. Walking across with his army, Lord Rama proved that when faith, unity, and truth come together, even the deepest ocean cannot stop righteousness from prevailing.

केवल पांच दिनों में, सौ योजन लंबा एक भव्य तैरता हुआ सेतु—राम सेतु—नीले महासागर के ऊपर बनकर तैयार हो गया। अपनी सेना के साथ उस पर चलते हुए, भगवान राम ने दिखाया कि जब विश्वास, एकता और सत्य एक साथ आते हैं, तो बड़े से बड़ा समुद्र भी रास्ता दे देता है।
