The Sweetest Meal in the Forest
“Why did Lord Rama eat half-bitten berries from an old woman in the forest? 🫐👵”
Deep in the forest lived an old tribal woman named Shabari. She was very poor, but she had a heart full of love for God. Her Guru had told her that one day, Lord Rama would visit her ashram.
जंगल की गहराई में शबरी नाम की एक बूढ़ी आदिवासी महिला रहती थी। वह बहुत गरीब थी, लेकिन उसका दिल भगवान के लिए प्यार से भरा था। उसके गुरु ने उसे बताया था कि एक दिन भगवान राम उसके आश्रम आएंगे।
Believing her Guru's words, Shabari waited every single day. She would sweep the path so no thorns would hurt Rama's feet, and she would gather fresh, sweet berries (ber) from the forest to feed him.
अपने गुरु के शब्दों पर विश्वास करते हुए, शबरी हर एक दिन इंतजार करती थी। वह रास्ता बुहारती थी ताकि कोई कांटा राम के पैरों को चोट न पहुँचाए, और वह उन्हें खिलाने के लिए जंगल से ताजे, मीठे जामुन (बेर) इकट्ठा करती थी।
Years passed, and Shabari grew very old, but she never stopped waiting. Finally, one day, Lord Rama and Lakshmana arrived at her ashram!
साल बीतते गए, और शबरी बहुत बूढ़ी हो गई, लेकिन उसने कभी इंतजार करना बंद नहीं किया। अंततः एक दिन, भगवान राम और लक्ष्मण उसके आश्रम में आ गए!
Shabari was so happy she cried tears of joy. She wanted to give Rama the sweetest berries. So, she took a berry, took a tiny bite of it to make sure it was sweet, and then offered the half-eaten berry to Lord Rama.
शबरी इतनी खुश थी कि वह खुशी के आंसू रोने लगी। वह राम को सबसे मीठे बेर देना चाहती थी। इसलिए, उसने एक बेर लिया, यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए उसका एक छोटा सा टुकड़ा चखा कि वह मीठा है, और फिर वह आधा खाया हुआ बेर भगवान राम को अर्पित किया।
Lakshmana was shocked! 'Brother, you cannot eat half-bitten food!' he said. But Lord Rama smiled and ate the berries with great joy. He said, 'These are the tastiest berries I have ever eaten, because they are offered with pure, unconditional love.'
लक्ष्मण हैरान थे! 'भैया, आप आधा खाया हुआ भोजन नहीं खा सकते!' उसने कहा। लेकिन भगवान राम मुस्कुराए और बड़े चाव से बेर खाए। उन्होंने कहा, 'ये मेरे द्वारा खाए गए अब तक के सबसे स्वादिष्ट बेर हैं, क्योंकि ये शुद्ध, बिना शर्त प्यार के साथ पेश किए गए हैं।'
