The King Who Never Broke a Rule

In Hindu stories, Lord Krishna is known for being playful and bending the rules, but Lord Rama is totally different! He is called Maryada Purushottam.

हिंदू कहानियों में, भगवान कृष्ण चंचल होने और नियमों को मोड़ने के लिए जाने जाते हैं, लेकिन भगवान राम बिल्कुल अलग हैं! उन्हें मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम कहा जाता है।

'Maryada' means limits, rules, or boundaries of good behavior. 'Purushottam' means the best among men. So, it means 'The Perfect Man who always follows the rules of Righteousness (Dharma)'.

'मर्यादा' का अर्थ है अच्छे व्यवहार की सीमाएं या नियम। 'पुरुषोत्तम' का अर्थ है पुरुषों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ। तो, इसका मतलब है 'वह आदर्श व्यक्ति जो हमेशा धर्म के नियमों का पालन करता है' (धार्मिकता)।

Throughout his life, Lord Rama never broke a promise, never lied, and never took a shortcut. When his father told him to give up the throne and go to the forest, he didn't argue or fight. He just obeyed.

अपने पूरे जीवन में, भगवान राम ने कभी कोई वादा नहीं तोड़ा, कभी झूठ नहीं बोला, और कभी कोई शॉर्टकट नहीं लिया। जब उनके पिता ने उन्हें सिंहासन छोड़ने और जंगल जाने के लिए कहा, तो उन्होंने कोई बहस या लड़ाई नहीं की। उन्होंने बस आज्ञा का पालन किया।

As a brother, he loved Lakshmana and Bharata equally. As a husband, he crossed the ocean and fought a giant demon army to save his wife. As a King, he always put the happiness of his citizens before his own happiness.
