“How did a drop of water and a fierce roar defeat two giant demon brothers? 🌩️🗡️”
During the great cosmic struggle between the gods and the forces of darkness, the arrogant demon kings Shumbha and Nishumbha sought to overpower the universe. Seeing Goddess Durga standing serene and radiant upon the mountain heights, the demon kings sent their two fiercest generals—Chanda and Munda—to capture her.
संसार में जब अधर्म का प्रभाव बढ़ गया, तो अहंकारी असुर शुंभ और निशुंभ ने पूरी सृष्टि पर अधिकार करने का प्रयास किया। पर्वत की चोटी पर शांत और तेजस्वी रूप में खड़ी मां दुर्गा को देखकर, उन असुरों ने अपने दो सबसे क्रूर सेनापतियों—चंड और मुंड—को उन्हें बंदी बनाने भेजा।
Chanda and Munda marched up the mountain slopes with colossal armies, iron chariots, and rattling spears, surrounding the sacred mountain like a dark storm cloud.
चंड और मुंड भारी सेना, लोहे के रथों और भालों के साथ पहाड़ की ओर बढ़े, और उन्होंने पावन पर्वत को काले बादलों की तरह घेर लिया।
Seeing their vile arrogance and threat to the innocent, Goddess Durga's eyes flashed with divine resolve. From her divine form emerged an unshakeable, terrifying warrior manifestation, armed with divine swords and cosmic power.
उनके घमंड और दुष्टता को देखकर माता दुर्गा ने एक अत्यंत उग्र और तेजस्वी रूप धारण किया, जिनके हाथों में चमचमाती तलवारें और दिव्य अस्त्र थे।
Moving across the battlefield like a whirlwind of righteous fire, the Goddess shattered the demon legions. With swift and flawless courage, she defeated Chanda and Munda, vanquishing their cruelty forever and restoring freedom to the earth.
न्याय की प्रचंड अग्नि की तरह रणभूमि में उतरकर, माता ने राक्षसी सेना को तितर-बितर कर दिया। अपने अद्भुत साहस से उन्होंने चंड और मुंड का संहार कर दिया और धरती को उनके भय से मुक्त कराया।
When the battle concluded, Goddess Durga bestowed a glorious title upon this victorious form: 'Because you have destroyed both Chanda and Munda, the universe shall forever revere you as Chamunda Devi!'
युद्ध समाप्त होने पर माता दुर्गा ने इस विजयी रूप को एक पावन नाम दिया: 'चूंकि तुमने चंड और मुंड दोनों का अंत किया है, इसलिए संसार तुम्हें सदा चामुंडा देवी के नाम से पूजेगा!'
