The Hero Who Defeated the Buffalo King
“Why could a powerful demon be defeated only by a woman? 🐃🛡️”
Long ago, there was a demon king named Mahishasura. He was a 'shape-shifter', which means he could turn into any animal he wanted, but his favorite form was a giant, scary buffalo.

Mahishasura had a special boon from Lord Brahma: 'No man or God can ever kill me!' He thought this made him immortal because he never thought a woman could be strong enough to fight him.

With this power, he became a bully. He kicked the Gods out of heaven and started troubling innocent people on Earth. The Gods were sad and helpless. They went to the Supreme Trinity (Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva).

The three Gods became very focused. Suddenly, a brilliant light emerged from their bodies and joined together to form the beautiful and powerful Goddess Durga! Every God gave her their best weapon and their blessings.

Durga rode her majestic lion and challenged Mahishasura. The battle lasted for nine days and nights. Mahishasura changed into a lion, an elephant, and finally back into a giant buffalo. But Durga was faster and smarter.

On the tenth day, Mata Durga defeated the demon with her Trishul. The world was filled with joy! This victory is why we celebrate **Durga Puja** and **Navratri**. It shows that no matter how big a bully is, goodness always wins.
