A Token of Promise

When Hanuman finally found Mata Sita in the Ashok Vatika garden of Lanka, he was hidden in a tree. He saw that Sita was very sad and surrounded by scary demons. He wanted to talk to her, but he was afraid she would think he was a demon in disguise.

जब हनुमान ने अंततः लंका के अशोक वाटिका बगीचे में माता सीता को पाया, तो वे एक पेड़ में छिपे हुए थे। उन्होंने देखा कि सीता बहुत दुखी थीं और डरावने राक्षसों से घिरी हुई थीं। वे उनसे बात करना चाहते थे, लेकिन उन्हें डर था कि वह सोचेंगी कि वे भेष बदलकर आए कोई राक्षस हैं।

Lord Rama had anticipated this. Before Hanuman left, Rama had given him his own golden signet ring. 'Show this to Sita,' Rama had said, 'and she will know you are my true friend.'

भगवान राम ने इसका अनुमान लगाया था। हनुमान के जाने से पहले, राम ने उन्हें अपनी सोने की मुहर वाली अंगूठी दी थी। 'यह सीता को दिखाना,' राम ने कहा था, 'और वह जान जाएगी कि तुम मेरे सच्चे मित्र हो।'

Hanuman waited for the demons to fall asleep. Then, he gently dropped the golden ring from the tree. It landed right in front of Mata Sita. She picked it up and was shocked! She recognized the ring immediately—it was her husband's ring!

हनुमान ने राक्षसों के सो जाने का इंतज़ार किया। फिर, उन्होंने पेड़ से धीरे से सोने की अंगूठी गिरा दी। वह माता सीता के बिल्कुल सामने गिरी। उन्होंने उसे उठाया और चौंक गईं! उन्होंने अंगूठी को तुरंत पहचान लिया—यह उनके पति की अंगूठी थी!

Sita looked up and saw Hanuman. He jumped down and bowed to her. The ring was the proof she needed. Her sadness turned into hope because she knew that Rama had not forgotten her and was coming to save her. This small ring was a bridge of trust between a devotee and a mother.

सीता ने ऊपर देखा और हनुमान को पाया। वे नीचे कूदे और उन्हें प्रणाम किया। अंगूठी वह प्रमाण थी जिसकी उन्हें आवश्यकता थी। उनकी उदासी आशा में बदल गई क्योंकि उन्हें पता था कि राम उन्हें भूले नहीं हैं और उन्हें बचाने आ रहे हैं। यह छोटी सी अंगूठी एक भक्त और एक माता के बीच विश्वास का सेतु थी।
