Gopala: The Protector of Cows

In the village of Vrindavan, wealth was not measured in gold or money, but by how many cows a family owned.
वृंदावन गाँव में, धन को सोने या पैसे से नहीं मापा जाता था, बल्कि इस बात से मापा जाता था कि किसी परिवार के पास कितनी गायें हैं।
Little Krishna loved cows more than anything else! He would spend his whole day in the forest, playing his flute while the cows grazed peacefully.
छोटे कृष्ण गायों से सबसे ज्यादा प्यार करते थे! वे अपना पूरा दिन जंगल में बिताते थे, अपनी बांसुरी बजाते थे जबकि गायें शांति से चरती थीं।
The cows loved him so much that the moment they heard his flute, they would come running to him, leaving their calves behind!
गायें उनसे इतना प्यार करती थीं कि जैसे ही वे उनकी बांसुरी सुनती थीं, वे अपने बछड़ों को छोड़कर दौड़ती हुई उनके पास आ जाती थीं!
In Sanskrit, 'Go' means Cow, and 'Pala' means Protector or Friend. So, Krishna is called Gopala, the loving protector of the cows.
संस्कृत में, 'गो' का अर्थ है गाय, और 'पाल' का अर्थ है रक्षक या मित्र। इसलिए, कृष्ण को गोपाल कहा जाता है, गायों का प्यारा रक्षक।
This teaches us that God is the ultimate protector of all innocent and gentle creatures in the world.
यह हमें सिखाता है कि भगवान दुनिया के सभी मासूम और कोमल प्राणियों के परम रक्षक हैं।
