The Shiny Trap in the Forest

One day, while Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana were in the forest, a strange and beautiful deer appeared. Its fur shone like pure gold, and its eyes sparkled like jewels. Sita was amazed and asked Rama to catch it for her.

एक दिन, जब राम, सीता और लक्ष्मण जंगल में थे, एक अजीब और सुंदर हिरण दिखाई दिया। उसके बाल शुद्ध सोने की तरह चमक रहे थे, और उसकी आँखें रत्नों की तरह चमक रही थीं। सीता चकित रह गईं और उन्होंने राम से उसे उनके लिए पकड़ने को कहा।

Lakshmana was suspicious. 'Brother, there is no such thing as a golden deer. This must be a magic trick by a demon!' he warned. But because Sita really wanted it, Rama decided to go and catch it.

The deer was actually a demon named Maricha in disguise! He started running and led Rama far away from their hut. When Rama finally shot the deer with an arrow, the demon cried out in a voice that sounded exactly like Rama: 'O Lakshmana! Help me!'

Hearing this, Sita got worried and sent Lakshmana away to help Rama. This was exactly what the evil Ravana wanted! He wanted Rama and Lakshmana to leave the hut so he could kidnap Sita. This story teaches us that sometimes, things that look very 'shiny' and 'attractive' on the outside can be dangerous traps.
