The Night the World Lit Up

After defeating the evil demon king Ravana and saving Mata Sita, Lord Rama's time in the forest was finally finished. It was time to return to his home, the beautiful city of Ayodhya.

दुष्ट राक्षस राजा रावण को हराने और माता सीता को बचाने के बाद, भगवान राम का जंगल में समय आखिरकार समाप्त हो गया था। अब उनके घर, अयोध्या के सुंदर शहर में लौटने का समय था।

The people of Ayodhya had missed their favorite Prince for 14 years. When they heard he was coming back, they were over the moon with joy! But it was a 'No Moon' night (Amavasya), meaning it was the darkest night of the month.

अयोध्या के लोगों ने 14 साल तक अपने पसंदीदा राजकुमार को याद किया था। जब उन्होंने सुना कि वे वापस आ रहे हैं, तो वे खुशी से झूम उठे! लेकिन वह 'अमावस्या' की रात थी, जिसका अर्थ है कि वह महीने की सबसे अंधेरी रात थी।

To make sure Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana could find their way home in the dark, every single person in the city lit oil lamps (Diyas) and placed them outside their houses and on the streets. The whole city of Ayodhya sparkled like a field of stars!

यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कि राम, सीता और लक्ष्मण अंधेरे में अपना घर पा सकें, शहर के हर एक व्यक्ति ने तेल के दीपक (दीये) जलाए और उन्हें अपने घरों के बाहर और सड़कों पर रख दिया। पूरी अयोध्या सितारों के खेत की तरह चमक उठी!

When Rama arrived, the people celebrated with music, sweets, and fireworks. This day became known as **Diwali**, the Festival of Lights. It reminds us that no matter how dark the world gets, the light of goodness can never be put out.

जब राम पहुँचे, तो लोगों ने संगीत, मिठाई और आतिशबाजी के साथ जश्न मनाया। इस दिन को **दिवाली**, रोशनी के त्योहार के रूप में जाना जाने लगा। यह हमें याद दिलाता है कि दुनिया चाहे कितनी भी अंधेरी क्यों न हो जाए, अच्छाई की रोशनी को कभी बुझाया नहीं जा सकता।
